the longest blog I have ever written..
So this (roughly) was my week in Paris..
Pretty exciting I know!
After I got back from Paris I moved out of my appartment and into the streets of Reykjavik.. well my friend's are putting me up for the nights so.. then I took some shifts at the health food store to earn some money before my next adventure would start..
Only a week later I went to pick up my friend Shelly from Chicago at the airport.. she was going to stay here for almost 3 weeks and we had almost a week for ourselves before the guys would get in from NJ..
we went to the blue lagoon, explored Nesjavellir cause Shelly's into eco friendly powerplants and such, took pictures of houses with grass on the roof and just enjoyed being reunited after such a long time!
A week later I went with Shelly to pick up my friend DanP and his friend Chris from the airport.. I can't even began to tell you how happy me and Dan and Trigger were seeing each other again! Fagnaðarlátunum ætlaði aldrei að linna! :o)
So now they all were here.. my three americans.. and since they all were here we took them to rest in the blue lagoon and then the next day we headed out in the country exploring the great outdoors of Iceland! It was sooo much fun having them here and quite the adventure! So many stories but the best ones are these two I think..
So we're driving along the vest fjords of Iceland and we see this road that we wanted to take to get to this really cool place Látrabjarg that all of us wanted to see.. the road was fine so we drove along it but after like a mile it starts getting a little bit rough.. right when we're all thinking maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all and considering to turn around a big ass rock lands under our car and makes a hole in the oil pan and the car stops!
So here we are the 5 of us.. on this road in the middle of nowhere in the vest fjords with no way to contact anybody cause there wasnt any phone signal! We ended having to walk for about 40 minutes until we got to this summer house where I went in to ask if I could use their phone.. fortunately Iceland is small and almost everybody here is really nice so the people let us in.. we used their phone then they gave us food and tea while we waited for the guy that was going to tow us to the nearest town called Patreksfjörður and when it was time to go they even drove us back to our car so we would't have to walk back!
The scariest thing though was when he had to tow me for an hour and a half and I had to sit all alone in the car while the guys got into the other guys car.. but everything went really well in the end! The guy that towed us was even so nice that he let us stay in this apartment in the town so we didn't have to put up our tent but slept in nice warm beds for the night! So it all went well in the end..
The other crazy thing that happened.. well there were a lot of crazy things but this one was definitely the worst!
Like before we were driving around but this time on the East fjords.. a friend of mine Birkir had told us to go see this amazing bay called Vaðlavík there so we went but while driving down to it we realized that we would never get back up without help seeing the road was really crap and Birkir had forgot to tell us that you need a 4 wheel drive to get to it.. luckily we met someone down in the valley who told us to call him if or when we needed help.. of course on the way back we couldn't get anywhere so me and Dan hiked to the top of this valley to get reception and call the guy.. he came and was willing to tow us up but when I was going to sit down to drive I saw that my foot hurt to much to do it (I had been unfortunate to get this boulder on my foot while climbing few days earlier and after that hike that night I was just too tired and my foot too swollen).. Trigger ended up driving but only maybe 5 minutes into the drive the guy takes a L-turn to quickly and the car with Trigger in it end up site down in ditch! I saw it happen and of course freaked out cause I didn't know if Trigger was ok or not.. fortunately he had put his seatbelt on and was ok.. thankfully!
So the car is ruined as you can see and we have to buy mom and dad a new car but I don't really care about that cause it's only like 4200 bucks or 300.000 isl kroners.. I'm just sooooo glad that Trigger is ok! I sericouly don't know what I would have done if anything had happened to him!
Still the bad news is that I'm not sure when I'll make it over to the states again now! or if I'll be able to go to India! or if I'll safe up enough money to go to University fall 2007!
It's all very uncertain right now.. I mean I know I want to do all of those things.. just have to figure out exactly how and when!
I'm going to England and then Spain on Friday to do the Running of the Nude (www.runningofthenude.com) and then when I get back I will have to think about what I'll do exactly! I'm going to a job interview later today.. my friend Oddný workes at this place and they might need an extra person there so I'm going to check that out.. if that works out I'll be doing three jobs.. but I need the money.. that's for sure!
But yeah it was a crazy trip I took those americans on.. the weird part is they all miss us and Iceland.. I would have thought they would have had enough with adventure for now.. hehehe.. but well what can I say.. we're pretty addictive.. I know I know.. not very sXe of us but it's just a fact ;o)
Still even though all this crap happened while the guys were here it was soooo much fun having them! I really miss having them here already especially my friend Dan from NJ cause I love him so much and it sucks so bad that he's moving even further away from me now! but if everything works out I'll see him sooner than later!
But yeah anyways there was a lot of other things that happened on the trip with the guys.. like me getting that boulder on my foot and Trigger carrying me on his back back down the mountain.. me driving over Dan's foot even though I still stick with it being partly Trigger's fault.. hehe.. and lots of other things.. I know you are all wanting to see them! hehehe.. well I'm off now.. I'll keep on posting here since you guys seem to be reading it.. at least some of you!

I did this dedication on my myspace blog but I'm going to leave it here too cause not all of you are on myspace and these three people made everything sooo much better in the last two weeks! They are all sooo amazing.. and even though they have only just left I miss them already soooo much..
I really hope I'll see them again before too long..
Chris is an amazing graphic designer from NJ, he's the best dancing partner you'll find and he's AMAZING when it comes to picking up girls.. hehe.. no for real he's the sweetest dude you'll ever meet! such an amazing guy with so much to give! always willing to have a heart to heart talk or just give a helping hand! I'm so glad he came along on this trip!
Daniel Plimpton.. he might be a dick sometimes but god knows I love him.. we get along sooo great, have so much in common and he's one of the bestest friends I have.. and even though he continually thinks I hate him he couldn't be more wrong.. you see he might be a jerk.. but he's my jerk! :o*
And last but not least.. my Shelly.. one of the sweetest girl you'll find on this planet! she's off to safe the world one eco friendly house after another! I love this girl with all her farting and silliness! <3
